MEETING IN GREECE

MEETING IN DRAMA, GREECE 26 th March 2011- 1st April 2011

The second meeting of our project took place in the Greek townof Drama from 26th March to 1st April. Three Spanish teachersand two Spanish students took part in it. The Spanish studentswere hosted by Greek families whom we want to thank for their hospitality.

During the visit, working meetings were held at the hostschool, during which tasks undertaken until that moment werepresented by students and several matters about the projectwere discussed by teachers. We also agreed on the design andplanning of activities to be done until the end of the currentschool year (June 2011) and on the dates for the two nextproject meetings in Poland and Turkey.

The second part of the recycling contest took also place duringthis meeting. Students did posters, which were published onour website and voted by all the schools to choose a winningposter. Trees were planted by teachers and students in theoutskirts of Drama.

We visited interesting places in the area of Drama such asCave of Aggitis, , the physical history museum, Nestos river,the Centre of Environmental Education in Paranesti , Petrousa’sgorge, Thassos Island and the ancient area of Philippi. Most of these places had to see with the topic of our Project.  The two students who participated in the meeting in Oradeamade a presentation summarising their experience as well as apannel with pictures.
